Juneau Utilities was founded nearly 100 years ago – by the citizens of Juneau. The community’s early founders voted to establish their own city-owned utility to provide light to its downtown area and to encourage economic development.
While a lot has changed over the past 100 years, the focus of Juneau Utilities has not. Today, Juneau Utilities still offers its residents some of the lowest electric rates in southeastern Wisconsin - rates significantly lower than those in territories that are served by investor-owned utilities.
Juneau Utilities also provides its customers with clean, high-quality water that meets or exceeds all state and federal standards.
