Juneau Electric Utility, along with our Power Provider, WPPI, offers a $1,000 scholarship for students seeking a career as an electric lineworker. The scholarship is presented to a high school senior who plans to attend a Wisconsin Technical College that offers the Electricl Power Distribution Program.
Applicants are judged on a variety of criteria, including academic and extracurricular achievement, work and volunteer experience and future career goals.
The scholarship is available to students enrolling at one of the following schools:
Blackhawk Technical College - Janesville
Chippewa Valley Technical College - Eau Claire
Milwaukee Area Technical College
Moraine Park Technical College - Beaver Dam
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College - Green Bay
Juneau Utilities’ scholarship program is designed to provide educational opportunities for promising local students and to promote awareness of Juneau’s community-owned utility. To be eligible to apply, students or their parents or guardians must be customers of Juneau Utilities. Dependents of utility personnel are not eligible.
